Porous & magnetic materials
Functional materials in which the internal structure is part of the design.
Porous metals use controlled pore networks for functions such as filtration, flow distribution and lubricant retention. Soft magnetic composites use electrically insulated magnetic particles to shape electromagnetic behaviour. The two families require different material design and validation methods.
